Man. app. markings
Manually applied markings and/or transverse markings are used in urban areas and at junctions.
All markings such as pedestrian crossings, stop lines, 'give way' markings, parking bays, exclusion boxes, arrows and other symbols are applied by hand using a hand applicator for thermoplastic paint.
A hand spray applicator and stencils may be used, or a pedestrian-controlled machine for parking bays etc.
Transverse markings can also be applied in the form of prefabricated symbols, laid on a cleaned asphalt surface and bonded with a gas torch. Workers on roads carrying heavy traffic are protected by vehicles carrying anti-collision protection.
EKC also has teams of specialised prefabricated symbol layers.
